New Zealand jersey for ICC T20 World Cup 2024 tournament revealed
As the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 approaches, all sides are confirming their squads for the competition, which will begin on June 2. Following the announcement of their 15-man team, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) presented their ICC tournament jersey.
This is not the first time that New Zealand has announced a squad in an unusual manner. Their World Cup 2023 announcement video also grabbed hearts, with relatives and family members of athletes naming them in another emotional video.
NZC has also revealed the team jersey for the 2019 T20 World Cup. They’ve switched to antique Teal Blue kits instead of the standard Black kit.

Kane Williamson is leading the side. This will be Kane’s sixth T20 World Cup appearance, his fourth as captain. Tim Southee has seven T20 World Cup appearances, more than Williamson. Trent Boult, who does not have a central contract, has found a place on the 15-member squad.
Matt Henry and Rachin Ravindra, a batting all-rounder, will be playing in their first T20 World Cup. Pacer Ben Sears will go with the team as an injured replacement. Adam Milner and Kyle Jamieson were both out due to the fitness constraints.
New Zealand Launch Kit For T20 World Cup 2024
NZC deviated from their normal black theme by unveiling a retro-inspired shirt for the 2024 T20 World Cup. The turquoise kit features “New Zealand” on a white background, reminiscent of their 1999 uniform. This teal-finished pattern provides a retro element to their outfit for the approaching competition.
The Blackcaps are well-known for consistently outperforming expectations in ICC tournaments. To win their first T20 World Cup, the team must perform at their best against the tournament’s strongest. Notably, they lost by eight wickets to Australia in the 2021 T20 World Cup final in Dubai.
