India schedule for T20 World Cup 2024: Match timings and venues

The International Cricket Council (ICC) released the schedule for the T20 World Cup 2024 on Friday, January 7, 2024. India, the first-ever T20 global champion, is in group A with Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, and the host United States. The 2024 T20 World Cup features an all-new format, with 20 nations competing in the inaugural edition.

India will play three of their four matches in New York, with the final match against Canada taking place in Florida.

India vs Ireland – June 5, New York, 8.30pm IST.

India vs Pakistan – June 9, New York, 8.30pm IST.

India vs USA – June 12, New York, 8.30pm IST.

India vs Canada – June 15, Florida, 8.30pm IST.

On June 5, the much-anticipated India vs Pakistan match, often the highlight of ICC tournaments will take place at Eisenhower Park in New York City.

India-Pakistan encounters have always been memorable on a worldwide scale. The last time these two teams met in the T20 format, Virat Kohli delivered one of the greatest knocks of all time, helping India win a thriller off the final ball in Melbourne.

Last year’s World Cup saw the two nations play an ODI in Ahmedabad as part of their group. India dominated the game throughout, winning by seven wickets.

India team not only aimed to win the ICC crown after 11 years, but also to lift the T20 World Cup trophy for the second time in history. India’s solitary victory as T20 World Cup champions came 17 years ago at the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007.

India was ousted in the Super 8 stage in 2009, 2010, and 2012, and lost to Sri Lanka in the 2014 World Cup final. India was eliminated in the Super 12 stage of the 2021 event, following semi-final exits in 2016 and 2022. India’s latest ICC success was in the Champions Trophy in 2013, captained by MS Dhoni.
